The Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions (CERTS) was formed to research, develop, and disseminate new methods, tools, and technologies to protect and enhance the reliability of the U.S. electric power system under the emerging competitive electric market structures.

The members of CERTS include Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), the Power Systems Engineering Research Consortium (PSERC), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and Electric Power Group (EPG).
